So I decided to start blogging! I figure that since I won’t be able to keep in touch with most of my friends and family, this blog will be the best way to update people on how my Peace Corps experience is going. So, let me catch you up on what has happened so far:
I applied to the Peace Corps, filled out all my medical and dental stuff and then was denied. I turned in my appeal and the rejection was overturned (last week). Now I am just waiting for my invitation. I am scheduled to leave next month, but I still don’t know where and when I am going.
Now that I have you up to speed, let me tell you how I feel about all of this: SCARED OUT OF MY MIND! I mean, I am excited.. I can’t wait to serve and teach and experience all these new things; there is another part of me though, that says, “you are a giant wuss… what makes you think that you can complete this?” So I have this duel going on in my head right now. I really want to teach and see the world, so I have high expectations for this, however I know that my 3 month training is going to make me want to kill myself. I guess it is just one of those times I have to step up.
So, that in all is what is happening and how I feel. I plan on keeping this updated… I just have to remember to do it.
